draiad: ahhh ;A; Fili’d be such a good sport too, doing his best to remind himself that Kili’s just going through a lot and not 

to let things he says

jujubeee mod: so he didnt feel like he was just using Fili as a bit of a punching bag

stickk ban: because he’d be angry at himself for being “weak” and it would be somehow easier to  handle if Fili was angry at him 

instead

draiad: DX can you imagine how guilty Fili would feel though, like

draiad: on a lot of levels

jujubeee mod: He’d stumble and a crutch would fall and clatter to the ground

stickk ban: and Fili would probably have to go put himself in time-out sometimes, to vent his frustration where Kili couldn’t 

see

jujubeee mod: and he’d be all ‘I can’t even pick it up, Fili’

stickk ban: Fili would reassure him that he could pick it up

jujubeee mod: And there would be angry tears in his eyes

jujubeee mod: and he’d hit it out of Fili’s hand

jujubeee mod: when he went to hand it back to him

jujubeee mod: maybe insist on getting it

jujubeee mod: even tho he cant

stickk ban: imagine if Thorin was also sort of avoiding Kili, maybe subconsciously, because he didn’t know what to say or how to 

help

stickk ban: and maybe wouldn’t even mean to but it would be a couple of days and suddenly Kili would realise he hasn’t seen his 

uncle around

draiad: And Fili’d probably be trying to get it through Kili’s head that this will get easier, but Kili’d be snapping at him 

that he doesn’t /want/ easier he wants his /leg/ ;A; and Fili baby wouldn’t know

stickk ban: because Thorin would be too busy being cross with himself and throwing things at walls and he wouldn’t want Kili to 

see how upset he was, but Kili wouldn’t think of that

draiad: what to do ;A;

jujubeee mod: Fili would have to talk some sense into him

stickk ban: I really like the Fili & Thorin dynamic, particularly when it’s put under pressure

jujubeee mod: Because Thorin would just continue

draiad: somehow Thorin and Fili

draiad: would get a bit heated in their fight too, maybe Fili taking out some of his frustration at feeling helpless for Kili

stickk ban: Thorin would drop by his room one day to talk about king stuff or something and just find Fili sitting on the floor 

and crying

stickk ban: I can’t help it. I’ve been really fascinated by the Fili / Thorin dynamic lately.

draiad: thats wonderful ;A;

stickk ban: they both have such strong personalities

stickk ban: and I can imagine that their kingship styles would be quite different

jujubeee mod: i read a fic once

jujubeee mod: Where Fili was thinking and described Kili and Thorin as unstoppable forces, like water or wind

jujubeee mod: But Fili would be an immovable force, like a mountain

stickk ban: because Fili’s never seen Erebor, so he hasn’t seen the hoards of gold that drive Thorin, and even though he’s a 

Durin heir and has that revenge legacy, it’s not bitter in quite the same way for him

stickk ban: as it is for Thorin

stickk ban: I like that. he would be immovable. but water & wind wear down mountains with time.
