So I couldn’t sleep again and decided to add to this ficlet thing I started in Julie’s stream, since others wanted me to write it and Julie said i should reblog with the fic. Inspired also by aionyu’s mer!tim too, of course~! I feel as if I have ruined it by finishing it, though it wasn’t really good to begin with >_>  So I apologize in advance for my horrible writing skills (or lack of). so sorry U_U

The young man stared at the mysterious, yet beautiful creature. He had always thought mermen were just of folklore, but to see one for real…

He found himself intrigued, wanting to know more- about this creature, where he came from.

As he got closer, he noticed the merman flinch but didn’t move. Those eyes, those gorgeous, alluring eyes were looking at him with fear and interest and curiosity.

The merboy was trembling- out of fear? anticipation? Even he himself didn’t know. He just knew that the human he had been watching was approaching him, and that he should get away. Fast. Mer-people were not allowed to interact with humans. They weren’t suppose to get near to shore. He needed to get away! If only he hadn’t decided to get close to these rocks, he wouldn’t be stuck here now. He could drag himself off. He needed to..

He didn’t move as the human reached only a few feet from him.

The young man bent down next to the young looking merman and reached a hand out to touch him. The merman took in a deep breath, but didn’t move from where he was. He let the human touch him lightly. Those fingers on his skins, hesitant. The young human could feel the other trembling through his light touches. He also noticed, however, that this beautiful creature wasn’t as wet as he though he should be for a being living in the waters. How long had he been on these rocks?

He frowned and looked up at the merman’s eyes. He found that those eyes were still watching him, with much the same curiosity and fear as before. But looking at his face this close now, he also noticed that the other didn’t look so well.

“Do you…” he started, hesitating. “Do you need help? Getting back in the water?”

The merman just looked at him. Then turned his head to look back at the ocean. 

The human wasn’t sure if the mer-creature even understood him. He realised that at some point he had pulled his hand back from touching the other. He reached to touch the merman again, the touch making the other turn back to him. Using his other hand, he reached under his back to pull him up. As he did so, the young merman brought his right arm up to touch him. The merman bit his lip as he slowly slid his hand down the humans face, until he reached his shoulder. He could feel himself getting weaker. Had he been out of the water that long?

The young human pulled him closer, pulling closer and holding harder as he got up. The young merman was actually light than he had thought. He made his way, carefully, down the rocks to find a good place to leave this magnificent creature. He only looked down once to see the merman resting his head to the humans chest, eyes closed.

He didn’t want the merman to leave yet. There was so much he wanted to know about him. He wanted to talk to him, though he doubted he understood human language. He didn’t want to let him leave. But he needed to be in the waters. It’s where he belonged.

He slowly let go of the young merman when he had found a good secluded spot, mostly in the water himself. He looked at the other, beautiful blue eyes watching him as he was letting go.

He didn’t want leave yet. He was finally so close, and touching, the human he had been watching. He had wanted so badly to get close to him, and now he was. So close he could feel the humans body heat, could hear his heart close to his ear. But the other was letting go now. It was time for him to go back. Back where he belonged.

Kiral, you should definitely, definitely write more

OMG, seriously.

I really enjoyed this, the non-specific description, lack of names and all that, gave it a kind of creepy and almost voyeuristic feel. Like as if there was someone else watching what was happening Dick

I really liked Kon, his need to touch and his want to help this creature even though he knows nothing about him. I could imagine him being all touchy feely in a situation like this

They both get so lost in their own thoughts which just feels so in character to me and as a result don’t say the things that they wanted to eachother.

The only thing that I thought could have concluded it a little more was to have had Tim say something before ducking away; a thank you? Making Kon realise that he could understand etc.

Unless of course he doesn’t understand in which case PERFECT
