I was saying that this is perhaps like purgatory for Jack. Having to watch Tim spiral and not being able to do anything about it.

And then, Jack had to leave suddenly and didn’t have time to organise Tim’s minder. Bruce offered to take care of him for the duration of the trip.
While there, Tim would be his usual tiny, self-sufficient self.
Making himself a sandwich, cleaning up immaculately afterwards. Tucking himself in at night, and reading by himself; garnering him ALL of Alfreds pity.
Until Alfred eventually side-eyes Bruce. And he oh-so-awkwardly attempts being parental.
‘What do fathers do - read to their children?’
He’d check on Tim, finding him reading and offer - awkwardly to read to him. Only to have Tim politely decline. ‘It’s alright, Mr. Wayne. I’m sure you’re very busy.’
And then Dick bounds in, unimpressed at being excluded from story-time.
Further horrified when Bruce refuses to do the voices and wrangles the book until it’s in a position they can all real, and doles out names to each person.
“I’ll be Robin, you can be Marian, Timmy. And Bruce can be the Sheriff, because he’s just as grumpy’ =__’=

This is my interpretation of it.
The last panel can be whatever pairing you like.

He lined up the ingredients that he would need on the shiny white Corian counter-top. This wasn’t as hard as people made it out to be. It was just following a numerated list of fairly simple directions. Tim had always followed directions very well. All of his teachers said so.

This is just so wonderfully written and seriously, poor Tim.
I realli like that you don’t villainise Jack, it’s just that he’s utterly obliviously negligent. He doesnt know that Tim did this, and he never will. Which is the saddest part. That he isn’t aware how wonderful Tim is.

Im so curious as to what happened to illicit that reaction form little Jack, he looks like he’s about ot defend his daddy’s honour and it’s goign to be the cutest moment in the history of moments.
Their expressions are fantastic and i really love how Tim looks in this, a little older, so proper, the art is just beautiful!
